Ghana Black Satellites failed to book a place at the African Youth Championship in Zambia after being knocked out by 2015 hosts Senegal in a two legged tie.
A goal from Charles Boateng was not enough for the Black Satellites as they failed to overturn a 3-1 deficit at the Cape Coast.
Despite fielding a talented attacking line with Dauda Mohammed, Yaw Yeboah and Charles Boateng, the Satellites failed to net a second against a robust Senegalese backline/
Inter Allies' Evans Mensah came off the bench to inject pace and trcikery but lacked the end product as Ghanahuffed and puffed to no avail.
The result also means Ghana will fail to make the Youth World Cup in Korea 2017.
