Former President Jerry Rawlings may not have been at the Independence Square last Sunday for the National Day of Thanksgiving, but he found time to attend a ‘thanksgiving’ service at his local parish – the St. Joseph, the Worker Catholic Church at Vume in the Volta Region.President Rawlings did not only worship with the local community, he also mounted the pulpit and preached for unity, enjoining Ghanaians to see each other as brother and sister and do away with petty chieftaincy disputes that are affecting several local communities. In attendance was the Member of Parliament for South Tongu, Kobby Woyome. The service was presided over by Catechist Peter Debrah.
