One of the older sides in the Ghanaian topflight competition, Real Tamale United have been relegated after a 30-year stay in the elite division.
RTU now joins B.A. Stars as the two sides on their way down having won nine games, drawn five and lost 15 times with just a game to go.
With just a game left to finish the 2010/2011 Glo Premier League, RTU lost 1-0 at the Gyemfis Park to New Edubiase courtesy a goal from the penalty spot by Stephen Manu.
The side which has produced stars such as Ghana legend, Abedi Ayew Pele and Mohammed Gargo would begin next season in the second tier of Ghana football as they sit last from bottom with 32 points ahead of the final day matches.
RTU would play their final home game in the premiership on June 5 against Aduana Stars before bidding goodbye to top-flight football after 30 years of competition.
