New Edubiase United sent Real Tamale United (RTU) out of the Premier League when they pipped them 1-0 in their last but one Glo Premier League match played at the Ashanti-Bekwai Gyamfi Park on Sunday.
The only goal of the match was scored in the 15th minute by Edubiase from a Stephen Manu’s spot kick.
RTU, led by Taufic Alolo played their hearts out but try as they did all their efforts at scoring fizzled out as they failed to find the net up to the end of the first half.
The ‘Pride of the North’ came back from recess full of fight as they earned several corner kicks but they still could not utilize any of the chances that came their way to at least get the equalizer.
The game from the 70th minute became a ding dong affair with the ball swinging from one end to the other until referee J.O. Lamptey brought proceedings to an end to send RTU into relegation since their entry into the elite division in 1978.
