Ghana assistant coach Ibrahim Tanko wants Ghana to play possession based football reminiscent of the glorious Barcelona and Spanish teams.
The Black Stars are set for new beginnings under Kwesi Appiah after a stale two year period under Avram Grant and the style of play has come under consideration.
The new technical team, comprising of former players, want the team to adopt a style of play based on possession.
Possession football which will require inter-positional play, high pressing as well as perpetual movement off the ball all boxed into attractive football will be the core feature of the national side.

"Ghana is going to play the possessive kind of football and also adopt to the style of any opponent we meet." he told Kumasi-based Nhyira FM
The “Agoro” football of Ghana has always placed emphasis on playing stylishly and under this new setup, the team is expected to play flamboyantly and win as well.
They have a chance to start this against Ethiopia this weekend in the 2019 AFCON qualifier.
