Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi, President of the Ghana Football Association, (GFA) has discussed the modalities for the construction of soccer pitches with Mr. Pang Xinxing, the Founder of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) Broadcast sponsors, StarTimes.
According to the GFA communications department, the FA President managed to broker the deal in a meeting with the StarTimes owner on his trip to China.
Key amongst the issues discussed in the meeting with the StarTimes owner included; the construction of football pitches across Ghana as part of the sponsorship agreement.
They also discussed ways of strengthening the existing relations between the football Association and StarTimes.
StarTimes expressed its readiness to get the construction of the pitches underway soon.
Mr Nyantakyi, currently in China, has held meetings with key Chinese football officials as well as business leaders in an attempt to create fresh fruitful relations with the Chinese Football Association.
The arrival of its OB van and other equipment in Ghana is expected to go a long way to improve the quality of the Ghana Premier League's coverage.
The Chinese TV giants are also sponsors for other competitions organised by the Ghana Football Association.
