Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion are considering moving for Red Star Belgrade striker Richmond Boakye, sources close to the player have told ESPN FC.
Both Newcastle and West Brom are in the market for striking reinforcements as they look to move away from the Premier League relegation zone.
Newcastle have scored just 16 goals in their 16 league games so far, with the Baggies managing only 12.
The duo have now joined Chelsea, who have shown great interest in signing the striker, who is under contract at Red Star until 2020.
Conte instructed Chelsea scouts to watch Red Star Belgrade take on Arsenal in the Europa League because of Boakye. The Blues manager Conte wants to sign Boakye as a backup to Morata with Batshuayi nearing Stamford Bridge exit.
But Boakye is open to a move to Chelsea as he wants to reunite with former boss Conte. The 24-year-old striker played under Conte at Italian giants Juventus
Boakye has impressed for Red Star this season, with the Ghana international scoring 14 goals in 13 league games.
