The Black Maidens have advanced to the final stage of the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup after beating Gambia 2-0 at the Cape Coast Stadium on Saturday.
Suzzy Dede Teye and Mukarama Abdulai scored for Ghana to see the national junior female side complete a 7-1 aggregate win over their Gambian counterparts.
After a scoreless first half, Coach Evans Adotey's side left it late to grab a win as Lady Strikers midfielder scored the opener in the 85th minute.
Mukarama Abdulai then sealed the win for Ghana with a last-gasp strike.
Ghana will now play Djibouti in the final stage of the qualifiers with the Black Maidens set to travel for the first leg between February 2-4 and the return encounter set for February 16-18.
The 2018 FIFA Women's U17 World Cup will be staged in Uruguay from 13 November – 1 December 2018.
