It was a reversal of roles when Board Chairman of the Multimedia Group, Kweku Awotwi, hosted popular broadcaster, Nana Akosua Konadu Asante-Samuels on her own show, The Hard Truth.
Beginning with the story of the humble beginnings of Nana Akosua Konadu, who is also Chief Executive Officer Enak Consult, the discussion built up to touch on a wide range of issues, such as media practice in Ghana, politics, entrepreneurship and others.
The host of The Hard Truth -- now the interview -- revealed Wednesday that she has always put the interest of the ordinary Ghanaian ahead of other factors during her weekly programme, perhaps explaining why her passion to get critical answers from top politicians and captains of industries renews with every show.
“I have always had the passion to do this. Maybe as a kid to be on TV and look cool, but growing up you realise that it is more than being on TV and looking cool. You realise that there is so much that needs to be done. You realise that there is so much more you want to offer the nation.
“I feel that we all have a voice, but I want my voice to be heard...I have had the passion for it, I have dreamt it and I am here now and I am excited about it,” she said.

On media practice, Nana Konadu Asante-Samuels laments poor remuneration for journalists and the difficulty to get government officials to honour their promise to appear on programmes.
