Securing a seat in class at the Nkpani Primary School in the Kpandai District of the Northern Region is for the swift.
Pupils race every morning for small planks of wood placed on the floor of their classroom.
Those who are not so lucky would have to sit through classes seated on the bare floor or jostle on the few benches available, but without tables.
Joojo Cobbinah reports the situation, which is not exclusive to the Nkpani Primary School, is negatively affecting education in the entire district.
