Ghana’s WBO Africa Light heavyweight Champion, Braimah Kamoko who is popularly referred to as Bukom Banku has promised to defeat his opponent, Hamza Wandera from Uganda at the Accra Sports stadium on Saturday.
The fight is Banku’s third title defence and a win will inch him closer to a world title fight against British boxer, Nathan Cleverly.
Banku was almost disqualified on Friday during the weighing after he missed out on the required weight on several attempts.
He had to run around the stadium to lose some weight before finally making the 175 pounds threshold.
Bukom Banku told XYZ Sports that his opponent will not survive in the ring.
Meanwhile, the trainer of Banku’s opponent, Paul Otel says they are prepared for the bout.
He said his boxer has been prepared from the beginning that is why he was able to meet the weight requirement unlike his opponent.
He believes Wandera will beat the undefeated Ghanaian come Saturday.
