A 25-man contingent of Cotonsort Garoua are expected to arrive in Ghana on Thursday evening via a Nigeria Airlines flight for their first leg CAF Champions League encounter against Berekum Chelsea of Ghana.
The players to make the trip include Kassaly Daouda, Karim Lancina, Sebastien Ndzana Kana, Fousseini Traoré and Brice Zimbori-Auzingoni.
Others are Léonard Acha, Emmanuel Mbongo, Ousmaïla Baba, Djene Dakonam, Yougouda Kada, Louis Epassi Ewonde, Jean Efala, Souleymanou Moussa and Mbah Carlain Manga.
The rest are Moundobou Bassamagne, Chardin Mfoutou Madila
Bidi Nama and Alim Boubakari.
Berekum Chelsea beat Raja Casablanca of Morocco 5-3 on aggregate to qualify to this stage after they walloped them 5-0 in the first leg at home.
The Berekum Chelsea/Cotonsort Garoua match is scheduled to come off on Sunday and is expected to attract a huge crowd at the Golden City Park.
Cotonsort, 11 times league champions in Cameroon have had eight appearances in the CAF Champions League competition all from 1998 and were runners up in 2008 to Nadi Al Ahli of Egypt.
Since 2009 season there has been an increase in prize money to be shared between the top eight clubs. Teams automatically receive $400,000 for qualification into the group stage, which is otherwise referred to as champions league proper. Four semi-finalists receive $700,000 whilst the two finalists receive $1,000,000 with the eventual winner taking home $1,500,000.
