The Ghana Olympic Committee has secured Plymouth, England for Team Ghana ahead of the London 2012 Olympic Games later this year.
With three months to the start of the multi-sport event, only four track and field athletes have attained the qualification marks.
The Vice Chairman of the Ghana Olympic Committee, Nii Adote Din Barima 1 embarked on a 10-day tour to inspect facilities at Plymouth.
According to him, Ghana will have the full benefits of the facilities at Plymouth
“With the facilities there, I believe my colleagues will be very happy to pitch camp at Plymouth”. He told JOY Sports
“All the necessary arrangements are in place to receive team Ghana and offer them the necessary support in Plymouth”.
The GOC has targeted to send a 30-man contingent to the Games which runs from July 27 to August 12.
