A day after a devastating fire at the Blue Light Arena in Adum, Kumasi, there is visible fire and smoke in the rubbles.
The commercial hub housing shops selling mobile phones, accessories, jewellery, clothing, and second-hand goods, recorded one of the major fire disasters in Kumasi.

Scores of shops have been left in rubble, and metal contains burnt into scraps.

Victims of the fire are seen trying to salvage the remains of their burnt items, with anxious traders who fear the fire might reach their shops, moving their items to safety.

According to the National Ambulance Service, at least nine people, including firefighters, sustained injuries, while others were left traumatized in the fire outbreak.
Ashanti Regional Manager of the Service, Sommik Duut Millon, says victims who got injured and suffered panic attacks received treatment and were later rushed to the Manhyia Government Hospital and the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

"Feedback from the hospitals indicates that the victims are responding well to treatment, with some already discharged," he stated.

An excavator is also breaking into shops perceived to have had less impact from the fire to make way for the fire service personnel to throw in more water.
