Former Ghana international, Samuel Inkoom has jumped to the defense of defender Baba Rahman over growing criticism by Ghanaians.
The left-back was involved in Ghana’s 2-1 win over Central African Republic in Kumasi last week Thursday, a win that booked the country’s ticket to the next AFCON.
Despite his role in the victory, his showing did not impress many.
Inkoom labelled Rahman as the best player in the last qualifier against CAR.
“We don’t have to go to the extent of playing individual players. We should not forget that he is young,’ he told JoySports.
“This left-back has a big future. The game that we played in Kumasi, he was not bad. He was my best player, to be honest.”
Rahman is currently injured and will not be involved in Ghana's international friendly against Liberia on Tuesday.
