President Akufo-Addo has nominated Amoah Evans as the District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Bia East District Assembly in the Western North Region.
This was in accordance with the constitution's Article 243(1) and section 20(1) of the Local Governance Act, Act 936.
A statement by the Local Government Ministry, the Western North Region Minister, Kingsley Aboagye Gyedu and the Regional Electoral Commission would conduct the confirmation process of the nominated District Executive.
Born at Sefwi Adabokrom in the Western North Region, Mr Evans is married with a child.
He studied Bachelor of Administration at the All Nations University and completed Juaboso Senior Secondary School.
He has held a number of political positions for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the university, Juaboso Constituency and Bia East.
Mr Amoah Evans was the former president of TESCON in the All Nations University, the former Acting Communication Director in the Juaboso Constituency for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and currently the NPP Communication Director for Bia East.
