The Electoral Commission (EC) has scheduled June 27, as the date for a by-election in the Assin North constituency.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is determined to nominate ousted former MP James Gyakye Quayson again.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is only a few days away from its primaries to select a candidate to contest for the seat.
This comes amid claims by the opposition of collusion between government and the EC to compromise the process, an allegation which has been vehemently rejected.
However, the dynamics in the constituency make it a noteworthy one. The determining factors include geography, personalities, parties' resources, and the swinging nature of the constituents, among others.
These factors set the tone for who gains the upper hand in this poll, making the race even more intense than the recently concluded Kumawu by-election.
JoyNews' Evans Mensah, in collaboration with the Joy Research Desk, explains the odds in this analysis on Monday.
