The Citizens of Badu in the Tain District of the Brong-Ahafo Region, have appealed to government to rehabilitate roads in the area to enhance economic activities.
They claim their farm produce were getting rotten because they could not transport them to marketing centres.
Mr Francis Nyame and Mr Kwadwo Boateng both assembly members of the area, on behalf of their people, spoke to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Badu.
The assembly members expressed worry that traders were taking advantage of the situation to buy farm produce at cheap prices and transport them to marketing centers and sell them at exorbitant prices.
They further complained about the lack of infrastructure facilities in the only senior high school in the area.
The assembly members cautioned the people against partisan politics and chieftaincy disputes and urged them to unite towards the development of the area.
The assembly had launched this year's anti-bushfire campaign with a call on the people to assist in arresting culprits.
