Black Stars midfielder Majeed Ashimeru has signed a two-year contract extension with Anderlecht.
Ashimeru’s contract was set to expire in a year, but the extension means he will be with the Belgian side until 2027.
The 26-year-old has been with the Purple & White family since 2021 and has featured in over 100 appearances.

“In the last three seasons at RSCA, I have grown as a player and as a person,” he told the club’s media.
“I’m very grateful to both the club and the fans for their continued support over the past years. They have come to know me as a player, but I have the feeling I have more to give back.”
Ashimeru was on the sidelines for the majority of the last campaign due to an injury, which limited him to just 12 matches in all competitions.
Nonetheless, Anderlecht are confident in his ability to help the team going forward.
"Majeed was struck by injuries last season, but he’s having a strong pre-season and he’s more focused than ever to take the next step this season,” Club CEO Jesper Fredberg said.
“We continue to have a firm belief in his qualities and are therefore pleased that he has opted for an extended stay at the club.
"With his unique profile as a dynamic, fast and always forward-thinking midfielder, he fits our style of play and he can still be of great value to RSCA."
