The Secondary market activity strengthened, with turnover rising 77.13% week-on-week to GH¢2.76 billion last week.
Trading remained concentrated in the 2027-2030 segment, which accounted for 70.08% of turnover at an average yield of 12.37%.
The 2031-2034 segment contributed 25.83% at an average yield of 14.09%.
The post-2035 maturities remained thin, accounting for 4.08% of turnover at an average yield of 14.79%. The September 2030 bond recorded limited activity, with turnover of GH¢1.12 millionn at a weighted-average yield of 11.75%.
Databank Research expects the bond market activity to remain subdued as investors stay cautious ahead of the Wednesday, 7th October inflation print.
The inflation data would provide fresh direction for treasury yields.
