Brazilian legend Ronaldo is eagerly anticipating his upcoming farewell match against Romania on Tuesday evening, and the striker is hopeful of finding the net in his final international appearance.
The 34-year-old retired from professional football in February and will say goodbye to the Brazilian fans in Tuesday's game, in what will be his 98th match in the fabled yellow strip.
"I'm very, very nervous and still shocked. It would be a dream if I could score a goal," the former Barcelona, Inter, Real Madrid and AC Milan striker said to reporters.
"I'm very happy for closing this part of my life with the national team. I have nothing to prove. I only have to thank the Brazilian people for their unconditional support."
Selecao coach Mano Menezes will introduce Ronaldo on the half-hour mark to give the iconic striker 15-minutes of action, and his last outing for the South American giants.
