These are early days yet, but things do not seem to be working for Accra Hearts of Oak as pressure mounts on new coach Ayman Alyman Elymany.
The defending champions do not seem to have solved the problems that nearly cost them the league title last season, and the signs look Scary as they lock horns with league leaders Kessben on Sunday at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra.
After conceding four goals in their first two matches to Heart of Lions and King Faisal, Egyptian trainer, Elymany has no choice than to go into his reservoir and produce some magic to lift the club from the bottom of the 16-club league table tomorrow.
The club appeared to have taken off well during the off season, unveiling some of the best local materials for the season. But when it mattered most, the players froze and their hal1dlers fizzled out.
The Phobians, indeed, have a difficult engagement tomorrow. The leaders have posted two wins, scoring as many as four and conceding one, making them favourites in tomorrow's fixture.
And trainer, Bashir Hayford, who is not new to encounters with Hearts, and the pressure that comes with it has remained calm ahead of the match, plotting to grab his third win.
Coach Elymany is counting on his new signings of Maxwell Mensah, Bawa Mumuni, Mahatma Otoo as well as a couple of the old guards including Douglas Nkrumah, to pull through.
Ashgold who struggled last season and now share the top spot with Kessben on six points, host Asante Kotoko at the Len Clay Stadium at Obuasi. Clashes between the two sides have always produced their own tension, and the Premier League Board must step up security to avert any nasty incidence.
Coach David Duncan who rescued the club from near relegation last season, has a herculean task of making it attractive again to take over the top spot as in the early 1990s.
And the road to that dream must begin with a win against Kotoko.
Lions have an opportunity to bounce back after they were shocked last Wednesday by Hasaacas as they lock horns with New Edubiase at Kpando.
Hasaacas trek to Kumasi as guests of King Faisal; RTU welcome Adual1a Stars at Tamale, as Liberty play Chelsea at the Dansoman Park in Accra.
At the Berekum Golden City Park, Wa All Stars face off with Arsenal, while C. K. Akonnor's Wise host Accra Great Olympics at Sekondi.
