Cardi B has apologised after facing criticism for promoting a fundraiser for Armenia.
The rapper posted details of the event as the country’s ongoing conflict with Azerbaijan over the separatist Nagorno-Karabakh territory continues.
It prompted the hashtag #cardibsupportsterrorism on social media, with some users criticising the star.

In a voice message posted on Twitter, Cardi B said she had publicised the event to support a friend.
“I did not know that this is a war between two countries,” she said.
Following the backlash, she said she looked into the conflict and realised she had not done her research properly beforehand.
The star said she has a lot of Armenian friends but does not know anyone from Azerbaijan.
