A Chinese man believed to be in his 50s has allegedly been murdered in Sakumono near Tema in the Greater Accra region.
The man who was only identified as Chan by his co-workers and neighbours was found in a pool of blood at his residence, Thursday.
His body was found by his road construction co-workers who had driven to his house to pick him up for work as they normally do.
According to Adom FM's Kwame Yankah who was at the deceased man's residence, Mr Chan has lived there alone for the past four months until his untimely death.
Narrating what happened, the reporter said the driver of the company who had come to pick Mr Chan to work realized that the main gate to the house was ajar.
He moved further and saw the door to the house was also opened which he said he found unusual, so he went further into the house shouting the deceased's name only to find him in a pool of blood in the bathroom.
He screamed to alert the neighbours and the landlord, Michael Osu Kyei came to the scene to see what had happened.
Mr Kyei who described the incident as a heinous crime then went ahead to report the incident to the Batsoona police. He said the incident must be thoroughly investigated and the perpetrators brought to book.
The visibly shaken landlord said they are in a state of shock because the deceased does not speak any other language apart from his native Chinese language and he does not blend with the locals to have offended anyone to want to kill him.
The Batsoona police say it is too earlier to establish what happened but they are investigating the issue.
