Charles Kwadwo Fosu, a.k.a Daddy Lumba has hinted a change of name so soon to fit his new image in the music industry.
The name ‘Daddy Lumba’ shall soon fade into the initials, DL.
The music icon in an interview said that people should watch out for the DL brand both in terms of music and other products
He did not want to disclose what sort of product he intends bringing into the market but reliable sources indicates that the move may include establishing educational institutions and bringing in sex health products including condoms.
According to the ace musician, this move is to mark a new phase in his musical career and add value to his image and artistry.
Daddy Lumba is a household name in Ghana and has twenty three successful albums to his credit.
He has also helped bring up some of the big names in Ghanaian music including Felix Owusu and Ofori Amponsah.
He discarded rumors that his relationship with Ofori Amponsah is not good and said that Ofori came to the studio when he (Daddy Lumba) was recording and even asked how he could help with the album.
Asked if he is contemplating leaving the music scene entirely to concentrate fully on the new DL products, Daddy Lumba said as long as music keep haunting him and as long as music keeps ringing in his head, he shall forever do music.
He added that the new Daddy Lumba (DL) will be launched next year as long as there is life, health and energy by the grace of God
