The International Human Rights Commission (IHRC) has extended Eid al-Fitr greetings to Muslims worldwide, urging renewed global efforts toward peace and stability in the Middle East.
The message, delivered by the Commission’s Deputy Chairman, Ambassador Dr Abu Zein, comes as millions celebrate the end of Ramadan amid escalating tensions in the region.
Eid ul-Fitr, a period marked by reflection, sacrifice and compassion, is being observed amid ongoing conflict, particularly in Palestine and Lebanon.
The violence, involving Israel, Iran and Hezbollah, has led to significant civilian casualties and widespread displacement.
Ambassador Abu Zein expressed deep concern over the humanitarian situation, stressing the need for calm and restraint while calling for urgent steps toward a peaceful resolution.
“The International Human Rights Commission stands in solidarity with Muslims globally as they celebrate Eid al-Fitr,” he said.
“We also urge the international community to work towards a lasting peace in the region, protecting human rights and dignity.”
The IHRC reaffirmed its commitment to promoting human rights and global harmony, encouraging individuals and communities to uphold the values of compassion, generosity and unity during the festive season, especially in times of conflict.
