The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, has praised John Dramani Mahama for a kind gesture ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
The gesture was delivered on behalf of the President by the Minister for Local Government, Ahmed Ibrahim.
Speaking to the media, the Chief Imam offered prayers for the President, asking Allah to grant him wisdom and success in his efforts to promote peace and development in the country.
“Whatever his intentions are to bring peace to this country, may Allah grant and fulfil them,” he prayed.
He also prayed for government appointees, asking for divine guidance to enable them to effectively support the President in managing the affairs of the nation.
The Chief Imam expressed appreciation for the government’s policies, noting that citizens are already benefiting from their impact.
He further emphasised the importance of peaceful coexistence, highlighting the harmony between different religious groups in Ghana.
“We are all from the same father and descendants of Adam,” he said, urging Ghanaians to continue living in unity and peace.
