Three women lost their lives at Yamoransa Junction near Cape Coast last Wednesday when an Opel Vectra Car ran into them.One died on the spot, while the two others who were rushed to the Central Regional Hospital, died on admission.The Central Regional Public Relations Officer of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Mr. Edwin Arthur, said that the driver of the car was heading towards Cape Coast from Accra and in an attempt to avoid knocking down a goat, veered off the road and knocked the women who were selling by the roadside.He said one woman died on the spot while the two others were rushed to the Central Regional Hospital where they died later.The Medical Director of the Central Regional Hospital, Dr. Kofi Sabeng, confirmed to the Times that, two of the victims who were rushed to the hospital died later.The bodies have been deposited at the Central Regional Hospital Mortuary.Source: Ghanaian Times/Ghana
