The Flagbearer of the People's National Convention (PNC), Dr Nasigre Mahama through a Facebook post has congratulated NPP Flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo for winning the elections.

The account is perceived to be his official account because it had been used by him in the past to communicate with the public.

Many users of social media did not seem happy about a press conference organised by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) declaring themselves winners and urging their opponents in the NDC to concede defeat.

There were some projections in favour of the NPP's parliamentary candidate for Ofoase Ayirebi constituency, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah

He is reported to have polled 17,141 votes according to a message on Whatsapp platforms. Some congratulatory tweets began to flow on his timeline.

Congratulations bro @konkrumah. Our parliament really needs brains like urs. #ElectionHQ

A post on the official Facebook account of Awutu Senya West parliamentary candidate George Andah suggested a win for the astute marketer.

The supposed political neophyte contested against incumbent Member of Parliament and Foreign Minister, Hannah Serwah Tetteh.

Some six hours after the polls ended in most polling stations across the country, the Management Consultant wrote: "The Battle was indeed the Lord's"
