The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has granted bail to Ibrahim Mahama, brother of ex-president John Mahama Myjoyonline.com has learnt.
He was picked up earlier today and interrogated over dud cheques he issued to the Customs division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) at the Tema Port to clear some heavy duty equipment he had imported.
Officials at EOCO will not give any further details about the reason for the arrest and interrogation.
Sources at the crime office say the business magnate has been granted bail to report at a later date.
