A 26-year-old farmer, who defiled a 13-year-old deaf and dump girl at Ofoase near Banso in the Asante Akim North District, has been remanded into prison custody by the Juaso Circuit Court.
Kofi Grumah, a native of Togo, whose plea was not taken, would re-appear before the court on May 16.
Police Superintendent Francis Oppong, prosecuting, told the court, presided over by Mr. Jacob Boon that, Grumah lived in the same vicinity with the victim and her mother.
On May 10, this year, around 1400 hours, the accused saw the victim loitering around his house and lured her into his room and forcibly had sex with her.
Just after emerging from the room of the accused after the act, the victim informed her mother about her ordeal through the sign language and further raised her dress to show semen around her private part.
The mother of the victim immediately informed the Ofoase Police, who affected the arrest of the accused, and after investigations, charged him with the offence.
