A devastating fire outbreak has reduced a six-bedroom house to ashes in Dunyan-Nkwanta, a community in the Ahafo Ano South West District of the Ashanti Region, leaving a widow homeless.
The tragic incident occurred around 6 a.m. on Sunday while all the occupants of the house were away.

According to the affected widow, Mary Agyemang, she was informed that thick smoke was initially seen coming from one of the rooms before flames quickly engulfed the entire structure.
Efforts to get the fire service to the scene proved futile, as no personnel showed up to help extinguish the flames.

By the time the fire had subsided, nothing was left of the building, and all personal belongings had been destroyed.
The chief of Dunyankwata, Nana Agyemang Boakye, has called on benevolent individuals and organisations to come to the widow’s aid, as she has lost everything in the disaster.
