A fire outbreak has been reported at Laterbiokoshie, a suburb of Accra, with emergency services currently on the scene working to bring the situation under control.
The fire, which is burning intensely, has engulfed a building in the area.
Thick plumes of smoke could be seen rising from the location, drawing crowds of onlookers as firefighters moved in to combat the flames.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has arrived at the scene and is currently making efforts to douse the fire and prevent it from spreading to adjacent properties.
As of the time of this report, firefighters remained engaged in the operation.
The cause of the fire is not yet known, and it is too early to determine the extent of damage or if any casualties have been recorded.
Authorities are expected to conduct an investigation once the fire has been fully extinguished to establish what sparked the blaze.
