Izzy Obeng, CEO of Foundervine, has been awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the King’s Honours List 2025.
This recognition highlights her outstanding work in supporting underrepresented entrepreneurs and driving digital growth across the UK.
The King’s Honours List celebrates individuals who have demonstrated exceptional achievement, leadership, or service in their fields. It recognises those whose work has made a significant and lasting impact, whether in business, the arts, sciences, or their local communities.
Since launching Foundervine in 2018, Izzy has led the organisation to become a force for change in the entrepreneurial landscape.
Foundervine has helped over 600 businesses grow and supported nearly 2,000 leaders to raise millions in funding. Her work has opened doors for entrepreneurs and made the business world more inclusive.

“I’m honoured to gain this recognition for the work we have done at Foundervine: This award isn’t just about me—it’s about the amazing team at Foundervine and the incredible entrepreneurs we have the opportunity to support every day,” said Izzy. “Together, we’re proving that innovation can come from anywhere.”
Izzy’s MBE is a significant milestone, not just for her, but for the wider movement to build a fairer and more diverse economy. Her leadership shows how much can be achieved when we focus on collaboration and inclusion, inspiring others to do the same.
