Failed New Patriotic Party’s Parliamentary hopeful for the Adentan constituency of Accra, Frances Essiam has declared her resolve never to return to the National Democratic Congress, the party she once served as a National Women’s Organiser.
Ms. Essiam was reacting to a publication in the ‘Informer’ newspaper on Friday which alleged that she was planning to stage a comeback to the party she deserted prior to the 2004 elections after she was physically assaulted at a National Delegates’ Congress in Koforidua.
The outspoken politician disclosed on Badwam on Adom TV Friday that, she had calls from late President John Atta Mills and lately, some NDC executives, urging her to return to the party but she was yet to consider that request.
Ms. Essiam said she was not in good terms with current President John Dramani Mahama and for that matter, making a return to the party is not a possibility.
