The Leaders of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) rolled into the Volta Region on Thursday to commence the Party’s Regional Family Conventions – a process of dialogue with constituency representatives across the country.
Each constituency took it in turn to narrate a tail of deception and coercion laced with inducements in attempts to lure Volta Regional members away from the CPP.
The overwhelming testament however was that of total loyalty and commitment to the Party.
In her address the National Leader and Chairperson Hon Samia Nkrumah thanked members for standing firm against the coercion and inducement and for remaining loyal and true to the values of the CPP, and for rededicating themselves to building Nkrumaism.
She said the party has a “golden opportunity” to now forge ahead.
The CPP Leader told them further that needed offices, additional vehicles, motorbikes etc will certainly follow because a strategic plan was in place to ensure this happens.
“We need to be self reliant and pay our dues and for all to contribute something even if small”. “Away with parallel structures! Away with disunity! Away with confusion on what the CPP stands for and represents” she said.
Samia ended her address saying “New Year, New CPP, the future of our great party is bright.”
She was accompanied by K. Oteng -Anane – 3rd National Vice Chairman, Ivor Kobbina Greenstreet – General Secretary, Acting National Youth Organiser Kadri Abdul Rauf, Deputy Organisers, Party Committee Chairmen and a host of Regional and National Party functionaries.
