Joy News sources say beleaguered GBC boss, William Ampem Darko, has been relieved of his post. This is the outcome of a meeting of the National Media Commission. It comes barely a week after some workers at the national broadcaster petitioned the Commission to reinstate him.The Director General was interdicted in April last year to allow for investigations into allegations of financial malfeasance against him.Sources say there will be a forensic audit into those allegations.Government has also been asked to take steps to re-structure the state broadcaster.Source: Joy News/Ghana
