The Chief Executive Officer of MoonTouch Travel Limited, Hajia Radia Adama Saani, has been honoured as Ghana’s Outstanding Woman in Travel and Tourism Leadership for 2025.
The dynamic young entrepreneur, who has devoted more than a decade to steering the growth and strategic expansion of her company, emerged among the top female executives celebrated at this year’s Ghana Business Women Conference and Awards. The ceremony took place in Accra on Friday, 5 December 2025.
In an interview with journalists, Ms Saani described the recognition as “timely, motivating and heart-warming,” noting its significance within the broader landscape of women’s leadership on the continent.
“This is an extraordinary event, convening women entrepreneurs from 60 countries to deepen global networking and collaboration. Although I emerged as the winner in the Tourism Leadership category, I believe the sky must remain our only limit as we continue to celebrate our progress step by step,” she said.
She added that the awards scheme plays a crucial role in empowering women, particularly by acknowledging their contribution to Ghana’s socio-economic transformation.
“This initiative has been instrumental in uplifting women. Recognising our efforts is refreshing, highly positive, and deeply encouraging. I am truly proud to be one of this year’s awardees,” she noted.
Radia Adama Saani, who remains determined to redefine the role of African women in the travel and tourism sector, believes the industry stands to gain significantly from her expertise. Having earned a diploma, a first degree, and a master’s degree in travel, tourism, and hospitality, she has committed her professional journey to nurturing the growth of MoonTouch Travel Limited.
“As a specialist in this sector and a multiple award-winner, this recognition motivates me to do even more and to set the pace for young girls across the country to believe in their own potential,” she concluded.
The organisers, The Business Executive Group, acknowledged several distinguished women whose work continues to fuel Ghana’s economic progress across multiple industries.
The 2025 edition of the Ghana Business Women Conference and Awards convened a powerful assemblage of female leaders, industry captains, policymakers, innovators, and global business figures. Now widely regarded as one of Africa’s most credible platforms for celebrating women in enterprise, the annual gathering continues to expand its international footprint.
This year’s event drew both local and international participants, reflecting the remarkable evolution of the awards since their inception in 2011.
Centred on a theme of empowerment and continental collaboration, the conference spotlighted the achievements and contributions of outstanding women across diverse sectors.
The Ghana Business Women Conference and Awards forms part of a broader suite of initiatives held across more than 20 countries by The Business Executive Group, working in partnership with reputable institutions including the International Council for Women, the Executive Foundation, and the African Chamber for Trade.
The 2025 gathering featured engaging panel discussions, keynote addresses, strategic networking engagements, and an awards gala honouring trailblazers whose work is shaping business ecosystems across Africa and beyond.
Organisers underscored that the programme remained “Proudly African, Truly International,” projecting a narrative of ambition, resilience, and continental leadership. Participants also explored new opportunities for investment, partnerships and policy influence, with a renewed commitment to advancing women’s economic empowerment.
