GOIL has donated food items, assorted drinks and fuel to the Chief Imam, Sheikh Ousmanu Nuhu Sharabutu to support the activities of the Ramadan.
The Group Chief Executive and Managing Director of GOIL PLC, Edward Abambire Bawa, made the presentation when he paid a courtesy call on the Chief Imam in Accra.
The items included bags of rice, cartons of cooking oil and milk, milo, bottled and sachet water as well as assorted drinks.
The donation was part of the company’s long-standing commitment to corporate social responsibility and intended to assist the underprivileged and vulnerable in society who depend on the generosity of the Chief Imam and well-meaning individuals and organizations during the sacred period.
Presenting the items, Mr Bawa expressed deep appreciation for the spiritual guidance and leadership of the National Chief Imam.
He acknowledged the significance of Ramadan as a time for reflection, sacrifice, and charity, values that align with the teachings of the Holy Prophet Mohammed.

The Chief Imam, through his spokesperson, Sheikh Armiyawo Shaibu, expressed gratitude to GOIL for the donation. He underscored the importance of such contributions during Ramadan, noting that it will go a long way in providing sustenance for the less fortunate in society.
The Chief Imam also urged the Group CEO and MD to always offer service to the company with sincerity, a clear conscience.
Special prayers were offered for the success of the tenure of the MD and the continued growth and prosperity of GOIL PLC.
