Forward Stephen Amankona starred for Berekum Chelsea in their big win over Accra Lions in Ghana Premier League on Sunday, March 9.
Amankona scored all three goals for Samuel Boadu's men as they recorded a 3-1 win over last season's league runners-up.
The forward opened the scoring at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park after 45 minutes played to give his side the lead just before the halftime whistle.
Chelsea went into the break with a healthy lead, which doubled shortly after the second half.
Seven minutes after the recess, Chelsea were handed a penalty which the Black Galaxies forward stepped up to convert to make it 2-0.
Amankona completed his hattrick 20 minutes later to wrap up the win for Chelsea before David Akintunde scored a consolation for the away side to end the game 3-1.
It was Chelsea's first outing in the league since it was halted in the first week of February due to the death of football fan Francis 'Pooley' Frimpong due to acts of hooliganism in the league game between Asante Kotoko and Nsoatreman in Nsoatre.
With Sunday's win, Chelsea maintain their position in eighth place, nine points off the top spot which is jointly occupied by Kotoko and Bibiani GoldStars.
