Hohoe United strengthened their bid to avoid relegation in the Ghana Premier League with a narrow 1-0 victory over FC Samartex 1996 at the Hohoe Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Kekeli Attor scored the decisive goal early in the second half, finishing calmly in the 48th minute after a swift attacking move.
His strike proved to be the difference between the two sides in the matchday 24 encounter.
The vital victory lifts Hohoe United to 16th on the league table with 27 points, keeping their survival hopes alive.
They now sit just one point behind Berekum Chelsea and the safety zone, setting up a tense battle in the remaining fixtures.
Samartex, on the other hand, remain sixth with 35 points as their push for a top-four finish suffers a setback.
Up next, Hohoe United will look to build on this momentum in their next game against Medeama, while Samartex aim to bounce back when they face Dreams FC.
