He also expressed appreciation to traditional leaders for releasing 50 acres of land to support the development.
Mr Akandoh paid a courtesy call on the Yagbonwura at his palace, where the King honoured him with the title “Chief of Health” in recognition of his efforts to expand healthcare access nationwide.

At the Damongo Nursing and Midwifery College, the Minister pledged that training allowances for newly admitted students will be paid by the end of the month.
He commended both teaching and non-teaching staff of Health Training Institutions for their dedication to grooming future health professionals.
He later met with the Savannah Regional Coordinating Council, engaging the Regional Minister, District Chief Executives, and departmental heads on strategies to retain medical officers and enhance healthcare delivery across the region.
In Bole, the Minister visited the Bolewura, who reaffirmed the honorary title previously conferred by the Yagbonwura. During discussions, Mr Akandoh announced that construction of a new District Hospital for Bole will commence next year. The Chief pledged 20 acres of land to support the project.

At the Bole Nursing and Midwifery College, the Minister assured students and staff that officers from Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) will visit the school soon to help open bank accounts to streamline the payment of training allowances.
