President John Dramani Mahama has instructed his office to secure the complete report from investigative outlet The Fourth Estate following revelations concerning procurement processes linked to contracts under the government’s flagship Big Push infrastructure programme.
The directive comes after concerns were raised over alleged irregularities in the handling of contracts under the multi-billion-cedi initiative aimed at accelerating national infrastructure development.
Speaking during a meeting with civil society organisations at the Jubilee House on Monday, March 30, President Mahama emphasised the need for transparency and accountability in the execution of public projects.

As part of the immediate response, he directed the Ministry of Roads and Highways to prepare and submit a comprehensive report addressing the issues highlighted in the investigation.
The findings, he noted, would inform the government’s next course of action.
