Police are investigating arson attacks on five houses in Bawku.
Six rooms, including those of the NDC’s Upper East Regional treasurer and Deputy Youth organizer were set ablaze at the weekend.
Bawku Municipal Police Commander, Superintendent Samuel Alordey told Joy News no arrests have been made yet.
He said investigations have begun but said the victims do not as yet suspect any body.
The NDC Regional Treasurer, Alhaji Issah Mumuni claims the incident was politically motivated.
His colleague Deputy Upper East Youth Organizer, Bashiru Dapore fears the attack could heighten tension in the area.
