The Deputy Minister nominee for Justice and Attorney General, Justice Srem-Sam, has stated that he did not apply directly to the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) for a scholarship, but was shortlisted for a scholarship by the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) where he was a lecturer.
He explained that, at the time, he was a young lecturer at GIMPA, and as part of the institution's initiatives to enhance the capacity of its lecturers, the management selected him for the programme in 2017.
Justice Srem-Sam clarified that the GETFund covered his PhD studies in the United Kingdom.
He made these remarks during a parliamentary vetting session on Wednesday, February 26 when Minority leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin questioned him about how he pursued his higher education abroad.
