The Adenta Circuit Court 1 has remanded a self-styled international radio marriage counsellor into Police custody over alleged possession of indecent images of a child.
Rev. Dr. Ebenezer Conduah, a minister, has been charged with indecent image or photograph of a child, contrary to Section 62 of the Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1080), and dealing with a child for the purpose of sexual abuse.
The court, presided over by Mrs Sedinam Awo Kwadam, did not take his plea and remanded him into lawful custody pending further investigations.
This followed a request by the prosecution, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Fuseini Yakubu, for Rev. Conduah to be remanded to allow for further investigations.
Rev. Conduah, 45, is expected to reappear before the court on March 27, 2026.
Meanwhile, Sam Nartey George, Minister of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, in a post on X, confirmed the arrest and remand of Rev. Dr Conduah.
Mr George, in his post, said, “Cyber Security Team uncovered recordings and online postings by the accused on international porn websites.”
The Minister commended the Cyber Security Team and reiterated that “if you break our cyber laws, we will find you and hold you accountable, no matter who you are.”
The Cyber Security Authority (CSA), the complainant in the case, arrested Rev. Conduah at his residence at Woraba, a suburb of Eguase in Cape Coast.
On December 8, 2025, the CSA received a request from the Cape Coast Regional Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit for technical assistance to analyse digital devices belonging to Rev. Conduah in a defilement case pending before the Cape Coast Circuit Court.
During forensic examination and analysis of the devices, several child sexual abuse materials involving multiple child victims were discovered.
One of the videos reportedly showed a naked child holding a white card inscribed “xvidoes.com” while a male voice in the background instructed the victim to say, “Hi everyone, I am on xvidoes.com.”
On March 6, 2026, Rev. Conduah was arrested at his residence at Woraba, Eguase, Cape Coast.
A search at the residence led to the retrieval of five mobile phones, two hard drives, two memory cards, a computer system unit, sex toys and female panties.
Rev. Conduah is alleged to have recorded the videos and admitted that the voice in the background was his.
Investigations also indicated that the victim in the video was the same victim in a case pending before the Cape Coast Circuit Court.
Analysis of the accused person’s devices is ongoing.
