Star Assurance has marked the successful conclusion of its “40 Reasons to Smile” promo campaign, a customer appreciation initiative which formed part of the company’s 40th Anniversary celebrations last year.

The final quarter draw and award presentation ceremony was at the Star Assurance Head Office in Accra. During the event, nine customers each received GHS 10,000, while one lucky customer walked away with the grand prize of an all-expenses-paid trip to Dubai.

The presentation ceremony was graced by the Chief Executive Officer of Star Assurance, representatives from the National Lottery Authority, and the Deputy Commissioner of the National Insurance Commission. Also in attendance were members of the company’s management team, invited guests, and other key stakeholders.
In her address, the Chief Executive Officer of Star Assurance, Boatemaa Barfour-Awuah, described the promotion as a true celebration of customer loyalty and trust. She congratulated all the winners and expressed appreciation to customers who purchased and renewed their motor insurance policies with Star Assurance throughout the year.
She explained that the “40 Reasons to Smile” campaign was designed to reward customers who continue to choose Star Assurance as their insurance partner.
“This promotion was about appreciation,” she stated. “Our customers are the reason we exist, and this initiative was our way of saying thank you. Today is proof that we honour our promises.”
Similarly, the Deputy Commissioner of the National Insurance Commission, Mr. Bernard Ohemeng-Baah, commended Star Assurance for building a strong brand over the past 40 years and for remaining competitive both locally and internationally. He encouraged the company to continue strengthening its operations by investing in innovation, prioritising staff welfare, and maintaining high standards of service delivery.
He further noted that initiatives like the “40 Reasons to Smile” promo help build public confidence in the insurance sector and demonstrated that insurance companies can reward loyalty in meaningful ways.
In total, 40 customers were rewarded under the Star Assurance “40 Reasons to Smile” Promo, with cumulative rewards valued of over GHS 400,000. This reflects the company’s commitment to rewarding its customers in practical and impactful ways.
