The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, organised a briefing meeting with members of Ghana’s delegation to the 70th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70).
The planning meeting between the Minister and members of the delegation was convened to strategically coordinate Ghana’s participation in the global gathering.
The meeting reviewed the priority theme of the session and aligned Ghana’s national priorities with global commitments aimed at advancing gender equality and strengthening access to justice for women and girls.

In addition, the meeting enabled the delegation to clarify roles and responsibilities, identify priority advocacy issues, and prepare for planned side events and bilateral engagements during the session.

The engagement also sought to ensure that Ghana’s policy commitments toward promoting inclusive and equitable legal systems for women and girls are effectively represented during the proceedings of CSW70.
