A man who could not stand the agony of seeing his ex-wife go into another relationship with a 21-year-old Senior High School (SHS) student is said to have stabbed his rival to death.
The victim, Isaac Kwesi, a student of the Garden City SHS in Kumasi, was reportedly murdered by the suspect, with the support of two friends, at about 9 p.m. last Tuesday.
The police gave the names of the three suspects who are currently at large as Kwesi Ackah, the ex-husband, Ayoyo and Akomeah.
They were said to have stabbed the student in the chest, abdomen and upper part of the left arm.
The Victim and the suspects are all said to be natives of Esuokrom, near Dwinase in the Sefwi-Wiawso District of the Western Region.
According to the police, Ackah went to the victim's house last week Friday and warned him to stay off his ex-wife but that turned into a fight, during which Ackah assaulted Isaac Kwesi.
They said Isaac's sister threatened to report the incident to the police but he pleaded with her not to go to that extent and the issue was rather reported to Ackah's parents for settlement the next day.
The following day was market day and Isaac's sister left for the market.
According to the police, Isaac was returning to the house after seeing her sister off to the market when the suspects attacked him.
Isaac's body has been deposited at the Sefwi-Wiawso Government Hospital, while the police have mounted a search for the suspects.
