While many are still trying to ascertain whether Nollywood movie star Jim Iyke's proposal to bubbly Ghanaian actress is true or just a publicity stunt, new reports show he proposed to her late last year.
The Nollywood bad boy actor proposed to Nadia Buari on the Thursday, March 20, 2013 edition of his hit reality show, Jim Iyke Unscripted with a six-carat-diamond ring while having dinner with Nadia, who didn't hesitate to say "Yes".
Jim had said the ring was 'designed' by him in specially selected countries including Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Gabon, with London providing the final finish.
Shortly after news of the proposal went viral, Nadia Buari took to micro blogging site, Twitter to state that: "All concerns & congrats well received & appreciated. BUT let's b reminded that how we see thins or how thins appear to be always never tell... the whole story. Prevailing reality is quite different now from any reality display...!"
The actor also tweeted that: "Literally everythin in life is about PERCEPTION.May luk 1 way today bt can grossly change tomo. All well wishes graciously accepted kinda lol"
There have been mixed reactions after the tweets with many concluding that the proposal was just a publicity stunt that was designed to boost the ratings of the reality show.
But new reports suggest that Jim proposed to Nadia when he flew her on an European city tour on her 31st birthday which fell on November 21, 2013.
Jim tweeted a photo of Nadia and himself in a flight for the tour that took them to Madrid (Spain), Frankfurt (Germany), Zurich (Switzerland) and then Barcelona (Spain).
Episode Two of the Jim Iyke Unscripted show, which aired Thursday showed that he actually proposed to her in Barcelona, Spain after which Nadia cried, said yes and he then proceeded to put the ring on her finger.
Jim and Nadia hugged after which he said "I love you" seven times amidst claps and congratulatory messages from people in the restaurant where the proposal took place.
